Battle-damaged Russian church, log construction. This casting was modelled from photos of several Russian churches during the campaign in the Ukraine in 1941-42. The onion dome is made of thatch, representing the tyle of churches that served the poor Ukrainian population. The casting consists of a removeable steeple, a removeable roof section, and the church building.
